Dr. T.K. Tran recently moved from his hometown of Houston and is enthused about caring for the eyes of Dallas. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in Biology and certificate in Business Foundations with High Honors. While attending UT Austin, Dr. Tran was a member of the ALD/PES Academic Honor Society and received University Honors during all 4 years of his attendance.
Following his time at UT Austin, Dr. Tran obtained his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry (UHCO). In his final year, he completed two prestigious clinical rotations. The first clinical rotation was at the Bridge Builders/Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas with emphasis on primary care and treatment & management of posterior ocular diseases like glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts for a largely indigent population. The second rotation was at Golden Eye Clinic in Center, Texas under the direction Dr. Dixon Golden, President of the Texas Optometry Board. There, Dr. Tran oversaw patients of all ages with emphasis on primary care and anterior ocular diseases such as pink eye, dry eyes, foreign body removal & treatments, corneal abrasions & ulcers. Dr. Tran was also a member of the BSK Optometric Honor Society during his time at UHCO.
Dr. Tran is both Texas State and National Board Certified. He is a Texas licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. Dr. Tran is also a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
During his free time, Dr. Tran enjoys playing and watching various sports, physical fitness, and exploring and trying different restaurants and foods.
